Did you know that it costs $60,000 and takes over 2 years to breed, raise, train and match each guide dog with it new owner who is blind or vision impaired?  Support for the organizations that provide these services comes solely from individual donors, foundations and corporations.  Our friends over at Southeastern Guide Dogs do a great job, and we are certainly proud of the work they do, as well as the friends I have made with the dogs that Mom and I have met.  The one below is named Bentley.
